About MK Design
A millwork and cabinet shop in Medley, Florida — building for Miami-Dade and Broward since 2013.
Our Story
MK Design US LLC was founded in 2013 by Alberto Chacón on a straightforward idea: the company that builds your cabinets should also be the company that installs them. Too many projects fall apart in the handoff between a distant factory and a subcontracted crew, and the homeowner ends up mediating.
So we do both. Our shop at 8040 NW 90th Street in Medley handles design, panel processing, assembly, and finishing. Our own installers then set the work on site. When a wall isn't plumb — and in South Florida it usually isn't — the fix is a shop change, not a six-week reorder and a blame conversation.
Today we serve homeowners, interior designers, and general contractors across Miami-Dade and Broward County, from Coral Gables renovations and Aventura high-rises to commercial build-outs in Doral and Fort Lauderdale. We're a registered Florida LLC with insured crews, we work in English and Spanish, and our office and shop are open Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
What We Stand For
Precision
We measure the room that exists, not the one on the plan. Every piece is templated before it's cut.
Craft
Machined, assembled, and finished in our own shop — where the tolerances and the finish are ours to control.
Accountability
One company builds it and one company installs it. There's nobody else to point at, and that's the point.
Straight Talk
Clear scopes, real timelines, and an honest answer when something can't be done the way it was asked.
Our Mission
Build woodwork that fits the space it was made for — designed, manufactured, and installed by one accountable team, at a price that was quoted honestly the first time.
Our Promise
We close every project with a punch walk. You point at anything that isn't right, and we correct it before the job is called done — no questions, no excuses, no change order.
