Custom cabinetry has a reputation for being unpredictable, and it usually earns that reputation when nobody explains the sequence up front. Here's exactly how our projects run.
It starts with a site visit. We look at the space, talk through how you actually use it, and take field measurements — not the dimensions on the plan, the dimensions in the room. Walls are rarely plumb and floors are rarely level, and pretending otherwise is how gaps appear at the end of a cabinet run.
Next comes the quote. Ours includes a written scope: what's being built, what materials and finish, what hardware, and what's excluded. If countertops, plumbing, or electrical are outside our scope, the quote says so plainly. Vague allowances are how a fair-looking price becomes an unfair final invoice.
Once the quote is approved, we produce shop drawings for your sign-off. This is the moment to move a drawer bank, change a door style, or add an appliance garage — changes here cost a conversation. Changes after fabrication cost material and time. We'd much rather spend an extra week in drawings than rebuild a run of uppers.
Then the work moves to our Medley facility. Panels are cut, edged, bored, assembled, and finished in the shop — which means the dust, noise, and spray happen at our address rather than in your kitchen. Components are dry-fit before they ever leave the building.
Installation is typically the shortest phase. Our crew sets the boxes, scribes to the walls, hangs doors and drawers, and adjusts every hinge and slide. We finish with a punch walk: you point at anything that isn't right, and we correct it before the job closes.
That's the whole process. No mystery, no surprise change orders. Call MK Design US LLC at (786) 906-7494 to book a free measured estimate anywhere in Miami-Dade or Broward.
